Strategic Plan

Sample Strategic Plan – A sample document that provides major sections of a strategic plan with descriptions of content of each section

Intervention Selection Scoring Sheet- Scoring sheet for rating existing community interventions on six important areas (level of effectiveness, evaluation results, capacity, target population, cultural competence, and benefits to prevention). May serve as selection criteria and justification for the selection of interventions to expand or continue using SPF SIG funds.

Evidence-based Prevention Strategies

National Registry of Evidence-based Programs and Practices (NREPP): NREPP is a searchable database of interventions for the prevention and treatment of mental and substance use disorders. SAMHSA has developed this resource to help people, agencies, and organizations implement programs and practices in their communities.

Imagine Indiana Together - Framework document to advance the mission of the Indiana Substance Abuse Prevention System.  Appendix B provides helpful guidelines for determining the quality of evidence supporting the effectiveness of interventions.

Overview of Evidence-Based Programs- A tip sheet highlighting levels of effectiveness of science-based prevention, hierarchy of prevention effectiveness, and considerations for selecting an evidence-based program.

Successful Prevention Strategies- A tip sheet highlighting six prevention strategies and principles of successful prevention programming.

NREPP Programs- A sampling of NREPP programs including program summary, cost, and website information.

CADCA Policy Change Toolkit- A directory of unique and specific local ordinances, policies, and regulations that community anti-drug coalitions have worked to enact, and a description of the steps taken by coalitions to make these changes occur.

Helping America's Youth Program Tool - The Program Tool database contains risk factors, protective factors, and programs that have been evaluated and found to work.

The Coalition Impact:  Environmental Prevention Strategies - A CADCA publication meant to assist coalitions expand their knowledge about planning for population-level change.

Budget Year 2 Letter of Agreement - IPRC TA Year 1 services provided support by assisting with community needs and resource assessment, capacity building, strategic planning, intervention selection, community-level monitoring systems, and culturally competent and sustainable activities.The IPRC can provide continued technical assistance in Year 2 and beyond.
