Research Associate - Evaluator

The Indiana Prevention Resource Center, a statewide addictions technical assistance, research, and education center, is seeking a Research Associate - Evaluator in the area of alcohol and drug screening, brief intervention and referral to treatment. The position requires doctoral level research skills, and preferably knowledge and experience working with screening, brief intervention, and referral to treatment technology. Candidates are required to have skills in evaluation and research design, instrument development, data collection and management, data analysis and interpretation, manuscript writing and publication, and grantsmanship.

The IPRC is seeking a person interested in conducting research who both works well with others and independently. The person is required to work in multiple projects concurrently and needs to be comfortable with multi-tasking. Doctoral level skills in quantitative data analysis are required, as well as proficiency in SPSS statistical software and the ability to learn others as needed.

Qualifications: Doctoral degree or doctoral candidate in Health Education or Public Health from a program accepted by the National Commission for Credentialing in Health Education. Research skills are required. Applicants must demonstrate they have published in peer-reviewed journals. Applicants must pass the IU Human Subjects Protection Test. Day travel in Indiana is required. The IPRC operates in a "high-tech" environment that requires a high comfort level working with computing systems.
